I Believe What I Want To Believe. This statement sounds quite true, because what I don't want to believe is very difficult even to except.
So what do I believe? I believe in values that are important in my eyes, not just for me but for everyone from my point of view.
Values like love or peace is something we wish for, we want for ourselves even if we have it already. My life is built around these values. These are what I am living for.
But it's true for the whole world. We live for values we except as important. We fight upon them and we are willing to die and kill for them.
The problem is, how do we know what are the ultimate values? What is more important than others?
We see everything only through our own eyes. But only. So what's good, meaningful for me might be unimportant and regardless to someone else. That's why we fight. We try to convince each other that what we believe in is the ultimate truth.
Does it happened to you that throughout your life you have changed the way you think and you start to believe in something else, something different, maybe even something new?
And what happens with all the so called "old" values we were ready to burn the house down? The people we have hurt on the way?
So what I believe is dynamic, always changing. Even if I just expand the circle of what I believe in, it's already changes the whole group of our judgment about what is important in life.
